The First Research Unit of Social Entrepreneurship in Greece
Athens University of Economics and Business is committed to developing socially responsible leaders who can recognize and link profit objectives with social impact opportunities. The Unit of Social Entrepreneurship (USE) is the first research and academic laboratory in Greece with particular emphasis on the advancement of social entrepreneurship nationally and worldwide. It applies managerial disciplines and innovative business practices to drive the entrepreneurial pursuit of sustained social impact.
Mission
The mission of USE is to inspire, educate, and support leaders who wish to make a difference in the world by transforming unjust or unsatisfactory systems and practices.

Objectives
USE tries to accomplish objectives, such as:
- Offering world-class education that provides students with the vision and skills to bring together business expertise and social innovation in order to maximize and sustain social impact.
- Advancing research that contributes to the development of research frameworks and practical business tools for the entrepreneurial pursuit of social impact
- Developing and supporting a network of academics, thought leaders, social entrepreneurs and organizations seeking to enhance their social impact for the dissemination of our research frameworks and business tools
- Creating a collaborative hub by connecting social entrepreneurs with leaders and key players in business, government, and nonprofit to improve performance, develop new approaches, attract more resources and enhance social impact.
